What it involves

Protecting your network from all network vulnerabilities is critical in the current business environment. Since every business relies so much on IT for its day to day activities, it's critical that we identify and eliminate security risks before they affect you.

IT-Mate provides the most advanced multi-layered network security services and solutions for small to mid-size businesses. We can customise a security solution suitable to your requirements and budget.

Why it matters

  • Stolen passwords made far less useful to an attacker.
  • Threats detected and contained early rather than discovered weeks later.
  • Staff better able to recognise the phishing attempts that reach them.
  • A defensible security position for insurance, clients and tender requirements.

What's included

  • Managed endpoint protection.
  • Managed network firewall security.
  • Patch management.
  • Data encryption.
  • Email spam filtering.
  • Ransomware and malware advanced protection.

Frequently asked questions

Is antivirus enough on its own?

No. Traditional antivirus recognises known malicious files, while most current incidents involve stolen credentials or legitimate tools used maliciously. Multi-factor authentication, monitoring and patching cover what antivirus cannot see.

Are small businesses actually targeted?

Frequently, because most attacks are automated and indiscriminate rather than aimed at a specific company. Smaller organisations are often reached simply because their defences are weaker, not because they were chosen.

What happens if we are breached anyway?

The incident response process takes over: contain the affected accounts and devices, establish what was accessed, restore from clean backups, and work through notification obligations. Having that planned in advance materially shortens the outage.
