What it involves

Office 365 from Microsoft provides businesses with the ability to run a number of critical services on the cloud. All these services are hosted in very secure data centres based around the world for redundancy.

Microsoft Office 365 lets you access your email, important documents, contacts and calendar from almost anywhere and on any device. Designed to meet the needs of your business, from simple office needs to complex compliance requirements, Office 365 lets you choose which tools are right for you.

IT-Mate can help you migrate your current email and SharePoint data from its current location to the Microsoft Office 365 cloud.

Frequently asked questions

Does moving to the cloud always save money?

Not automatically. It converts capital spend into an operating cost and removes hardware refresh cycles, but an oversized environment costs more than the server it replaced. Sizing and ongoing review are what produce the saving.

Can we move some systems and keep others in the office?

Yes, and this hybrid arrangement is common. Some applications have licensing, latency or hardware dependencies that make staying on-premise the sensible choice for now.

How disruptive is a cloud migration?

Most of the work happens before the switchover, with data pre-copied and validated. Cutover is usually scheduled outside business hours so staff return to a working environment.
